Seasons are not forever. Reap where you are sown.
What a crazy couple of weeks it has been in my neck of the woods.
Hopefully you guys have been able to stay plugged into all that is going on in the site. If not, please do so. I think you will find value in the content that is being provided.
So, with all that said, the more content that is being pumped out onto the site, the more time it takes, which means longer nights and early mornings. I have slowly been getting use to this shift in my life and am finding a good momentum, but I was not always like this. I have been in this phase of my life before and as I progressed I always seemed to hit a brick wall that said, “Why are you doing this?
It is so easy to question yourself, your work and your content especially when the results are not amounting to what your expectations are or to what others are pouring to the table.
Back then I would get frustrated, depressed and flat out quit. I would hold people’s opinions or lack thereof, with so much weight, that it would bury me and my dreams, but this time around things are different.
I am not sure if it has to do with me now being in my thirties, or honestly me just not wanting to waste anymore of my time and life on things of no value or even on complacency. Quite honestly, I think it has to do with a combination of many different things including the above mentioned, but the result has lead me to a better place overall, both physically, mentally and spiritually.
I am understanding that work must be done for faith to take place because your actions will eventually lead you to a place of dependency. A place where you are no longer in control. A place where you must trust your calling, your motives, your work, the almighty God.
It all comes in different seasons of our lives (read Ecclesiastes 3:1-8). There is a season for you to work, grind and work some more. Then there is a season where you must have faith, trust and faith even more.
This is the progression of our journey. This is what builds us. This is what creates who we will be in the next five, ten and fifteen years.
What season in life do you find yourself more currently in? A work/action season? Or a faith/still season?
Some of us might even be in both, but understand that it is all about development from the inside out. Find out where God is truly trying to build you in your current season, accept it and run with it. Don’t fight it.
Let us reap where we are sown and maximize our seasons to the best of our ability and obedience to God.
