Devotional May 5, 2017
Good morning guys,
It has been a bit since my last post and I apologize for my inconsistencies as of late. I seem to go on this similar pattern in my life that is called inconsistency and inactivity. I will be honest, that these two take over my life a lot. I have the desire to do more, but I don’t. Is that weird? Am I the only one going through this?
Anyways today I ran into a book called, “The 5 second Rule” by Mel Robins and as I began listening to the audiobook, I began finding a connection with this book. It was a connection that you had when you watched movie that had your full attention and at the edge of your seat. Kind of like that feeling.
What she was saying was really syncing deep into me and even just reading the first chapter I felt challenged.
I won’t discuss the book until I gather more information, but I know I am in for a good treat these next few weeks.
This has been my first week back from my trip to the Northeast and speaking honestly it has been pretty challenging at my house. First off my kids have been fighting some type of bug that has had them coughing, pooping, congested and with fever. My oldest daughter Aria, had an ear infection and is taking every medication you can think of to combat the multiple things she is dealing with. My son Micah, has been dealing with fever, cough and stomach issues that has left him feeling very uncomfortable.
Thank God that thus far my youngest Saige, has not come up with anything and we are praying that she doesn’t because at two months old, it is harder to fight of sickness.
Through it all God is good.
I am still on track with my Bible reading and am now in the book of 1 Samuel as well as the book of Acts. Now the good movie style stories are beginning to happen.
I fell in love with the book of 1 and 2 Samuel a couple of years back when I began to deeply read the story of Saul and David. If you want tons of drama and actions, I highly recommend you read these two books.
I did not have anything long, detailed or even inspirational set out for today’s writing, but if there is one thing that I can leave you with it is this, stay the course.
Keep Grinding. Keep pushing.
Take action and take ownership of everyday that is given to you by God.
Today, you are one step closer to your goal, to your blessing.
