Exodus 23 / Exodus 24 / Romans 2 / Psalms 16

Good Morning guys, I hope everyone is doing well. Today is a big day for our family. Today we anxiously await the arrival of our baby girl Saige. This journey has gone so fast, but also slow. I know it sounds weird, but you probably know what I am talking about.

My wife and I had a great time of prayer and worship yesterday morning. It was something that we needed and something that we wanted. These times have a way of trying to bringing out fear and doubt, but we needed to rest on our one and only solid foundation, Jesus. We sang a few songs together and just really rested our hope in Christ. We plan on doing the same thing today as well.

I continued on with my bible plan today and was really drawn into Psalms 16: 7,8 “I will bless the Lord who guides me; even at night my heart instructs me. I know the Lord is always with me. I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me. I love the part that says, I will not be shaken. I am declaring that over my family today, that we will not be shaken by any fear, doubt, worry, anxiety, etc. God is fully in control of this situation. I read a powerful quote that said “God wouldn’t have allowed it unless He had a purpose. Don’t just go through it – grow through it.” Man, that is powerful!

As I sit here in my bed, hours away from surgery, I can’t help but think about how faithful God has been to us. He has gotten us this far, not to leave us, but to lead us. God has shown up in ways that I would have never imagined and my heart is fully confident and in complete trust with what He has in store.

The Psalmist says in verse 7, “I will bless the Lord who guides me; even at night…” Even at the midnight hour God is by our side.

God has not taken you this far to leave you, but to lead you.

Today I want to encourage you that no matter what storms of life you may be facing, you will not be shaken. No matter how uncertain the times may be for you or loved one, you will not be shaken. God is your foundation and the rock that you can lean on in any time of your life. Jesus said it best in Luke 18: 27 “What is impossible with man is possible with God.” This is the exact mindset that I have today. As Jennifer and I walk into that hospital today, we will walk with full confidence that our God is by our side and whatever obstacle we face it will not be impossible for our God.

Application Question: What are some impossible things that are currently happening in your life? Do you truly believe with all your heart that God will turn things around? Are you fully surrendered to God’s will? If so, understand that God knows what is best for your life, so if circumstances don’t go exactly the way that you pictured it, don’t lose hope because God is setting up something big in your life.
