How has your New Year been so far?

Whether it has started good or bad, it is here and we have to make the most of it as best as we can. Every start to a new year brings a sense of encouragement, motivation and hope.

Comfort in the Uncomfortable

Parenthood reveals and teaches many lessons and experiences.

Parenthood exposes one's heart and who they really are as a person.

Parenthood also showcases the love of our God, the father, towards us.

What I have learned as a father in the span of 4 ½ years has been immense.

Being a parent of three, I thought I probably might have gone through it all, but I am clearly just beginning.

30 Things I am Thanks Giving

What are you thankful for? If I told you to write down 30 things that you are thankful for this Thanksgiving would you be able to? In this second year of the 30 things I am Thanks Giving, I write 30 things that I am thankful for. I have added some new ones to the list and have kept some other ones, but ultimately it is one for each day of November.

I challenge you to do the same. In the comments below write down 30 things, or maybe just a few things that you are thankful for this year. It does not have to be long or detailed, but give it some thought and let it reflect your heart. Take your time, but think hard and don't be afraid to write down the good, the bad or even the ugly. We all deal with the good, bad and ugly, but I believe that the beginning steps to true freedom is through reflection (thinking), expression (doing) and appreciation (thankfulness). I hope that you are challenged and encouraged by this article and remember that no matter how life has been for you this year, we all have something to be thankful for. Happy Thanksgiving!

Finding Rest

Why is that word seem so hard to achieve nowadays?

I am not sure about you, but with three kids, a growing/travel full career and ministry, rest seems far from reach for me.

We all seem to understand the importance of unwinding, resting and taking a break, but we don't seem to make it a consistent priority or even see the importance in it. In this new article, I talk about the importance of finding true rest and renewing your mind. Believe it or not, but these things lead to finding purpose and God's will in your life. Check it out. I hope you are blessed as much as I was.
